This pattern is for ruffled socks that fall just on the ankle area. They are knit with purl bumps that are then crocheted into with a flower pattern. These a really a simple sock pattern with a unique twist on a traditionally knitted ruffle. They remind me of the white frilly lace socks that I had as a kid for fancy dresses. #iam10yearsold

I recommend Patons sock yarn which is honestly my all time favorite sock yarn and I’ve tried a ton of indie dyed yarns companies. The stretch and the fuzziness is amazing. I’ve paired it with a DK merino, in my sample I used Primrose Yarn Co from my stash for a thick, padded heel and toe. I really love the feel of a reinforced heel flap, especially with the DK merino. You could also substitute the german short row method with the merino and reinforce the toe and heel too.
