This patterns includes a revolutionary new ruffle technique. In most layered ruffle patterns, you must first crochet a flat piece to serve as base for the ruffles, and then crochet the ruffles row by row on top of its base. This requires multiple fastening off, which is tediouos and time-consuming.

The technique used in this capelet avoids this hassle--you will work the ruffles all along without needing extra finishing work (such as tedious weaving in of countless loose ends!)

You will need:

Size J crochet hook (6.00 mm)
Yardage: approximately 1800 yds of fingering weight yarn OR 900 yds of sport weight yarn
1 size 2” (50 mm) button
