Ruffled Christmas Wreath is a ruffled 4 layer wreath done in Christmas colors of Forest Green, Grass Green and Victory Red, it incorporates pineapples and fans in the design. The pattern can be done with all 4 layers or done as an individual layer using the center layers for lightly ruffled or the inner and outer layers for something more ruffled. The outer layer measures 240 inches (20 feet) on the last round. The inner layer measures 192 inches (16 feet). The center layers measure 144 inches (12 feet). The layers are done separately and stiffened before affixing to a wire florist wreath by crochet or sewing with an curved upholstery needle. I used 5 balls of Aunt Lydia’s Forest Green for the inner and outer layers. I used 2 balls of Aunt Lydia’s Victory Red for one center layer and 2 balls of Artiste Grass Green for the other center layer. I recommend using stitch markers to indicate the pattern repeats. The finished wreath was spray painted with clear spray paint to help it stand up to weather exposure. The finished wreath is 24 inches in diameter.
