This hat was inspired by a visit to the beautiful Picardy Gardens local to my hometown. The owners of the property keep chickens in a pen called the Palai’s de poulets. The stitch pattern I designed for this lovely hat with it’s interesting ruffled feather stitch is an intuitive knit which works up quickly using one skein of Cleckheaton Superfine Merino DK inspired by the Ruffled Feathers of the chickens.

Designed to fit an average ladies head size of 52-60cm. (20-24”)

Requires one 65g skein of Cleckheaton Superfine Merino DK or 130 meters (142 yards) of equivalent DK yarn.
