I’m not really good at telling the difference between a shawl, collar, neckwarmer, cowl and scarf…

So call this knit ruffled cutesy what you want, it won’t be offended! It will help to keep you warm and cosy

The warmth on your neck and shoulders is just sooooo comfortable!!!

You can wear this in several different ways. Either over a sweater or over a coat. Inside or outside. Fall or winter. Closed with the wooden button or tied with the straps or loose. Button turned towards the shoulder or front.

Materials:

  • Chunky Wool, depending on the yarn, 3 skeins, 5.3 ounces 150 grams. For the neck warmer in the pictures, I’ve used 3 skeins=377.3 yards (345m) Plassard Concerto (super soft, itch free and lightweight merino/alpaca/acrylic blend)
  • Large Button (approx.1” / 2.5 cm)
  • Straight knitting needles, US size 8 EU 5 mmize needed for gauge)
  • Circular knitting needle in the same size, for just in case you’re using short knitting needles and the total number of stitches don’t fit your regular straight knitting needles.
  • Two double pointed needles to knit the button cord
  • Crochet hook to pick up stitches
  • Carpet needle to bind off threads
  • Scissors

Gauge:
Gauge swatch: 4” 10 cm square
Cast on 14 stitches loosely.
Work in Stockinette Stitch for 18 rows.
