This cozy neckwarmer has no closure. It’s a tube that slips over the head very snuggly, so make sure that you cast on enough stitches (multiple of two) to fit over your head. Sample fits over my 23.5-inch head with only 42 stitches cast on, but check your work to make sure. The 1 x 1 ribbing is very stretchy, and will spring back. Probably not the best neckwarmer if you have a structured hair style, but it’s great if you don’t.

In this pattern, you start knitting at the top of the ribbing and work down to the picot edge of the bottom ruffle. Then you go back and pick up the provisional stitches to knit the top ruffle which is smaller.
