While this pattern was on the needles, I referred to it as “Rum Sunset” as that was the name of the colorway of the variegated yarn. After a while, I couldn’t imagine this pattern being called anything else. Purples, blues, and greys are some of my favorite colors. When I saw the skeins of Bar à Tricot at my LYS, I absolutely fell in love and brought them home with no idea what I was going to make with it. After a while, I felt the pull to play with colorwork. Mosaic knitting is my favorite method of working color while knitting. Soon the vision of this shawl came to mind.

Rum Sunset is a triangular shawl that is knit from the top down. Mosaic knitting isused for the colorwork section. The shawl is finished with an i-cord bind-off.
