Runner Baby Blanket
A free version is also available.
This is a pattern for a long, thin baby blanket with an open, “hole-y” style, meant for small children to be able to twine their fingers in, which can be soothing for them.
The CDC and American Academy of Pediatrics recommend keeping blankets out of baby’s sleeping area to reduce the risk of SIDS.
I include notes about the gauge in the pattern, since it is measured in special stitches.
Happy Crocheting!
