Ruoto
Ruoto, a Finnish word meaning a fishbone, which reminds the centre structure of the shawl. Ruoto is a similar shawl to my other design Ranka.
Needles: Circular needles 100cm – 3,5 mm
and 100cm 3 mm
Yarn: 50g / 275m
I would recommend choosing two high contrast colours.
Yarn used: Main colour: 2 skeins of Knitlob’s Lair Ilmatar 50g (50% Merino wool 50% Silk) in Noki. 522,5m / 95g was used
Contrast colour: 2 skeins of Knitlob’s Lair Ilmatar 50g (50% Merino wool 50% Silk) in Ärjy. 330m / 60g was used
Gauge: In garter stitch 10x10cm = 22 sts x 30 rows
Size: 195x60cm
Other: Tapestry needle, scissors
If you want to you can use stitch markers on both sides of centre stitch.
