Russian Doll Tea Cosy Matryoshka
Could you refuse a cup of tea when poured out by a lovely matryoshka ?
The matryoshka will keep your tea steaming hot for a long time and it will look lovely covering your teapot.
This PDF crochet pattern will guide you to crochet a lovely tea cosy as shown in pictures, including instructions for the flowers, leaves and butterfly, made using 8 ply / DK acrylic yarn (wool or cotton) and crochet hook E (3.5 mm).
There will be an opening under the handle to cover your teapot easily, with a snap button closure (press stud). The doll’s head is sewn on top of the cosy, to cover the tea pot’s lid.
The pattern is suitable for any standard model teapot, 1.1 litre, circumference approx. 15.75” (40 cm), measured around the widest part of the pot, excl. the spout and handle.
