Russian Lace Cowl
Easy and interesting to knit, this textured lace cowl is based on a stitch pattern found in a Russian knitting book. Purls give the lace extra dimension. The cowl has graceful scallops on the bottom edge. Knit it in worsted or aran weight yarn for a quick chill-chaser or impressive gift.
2 sizes: 24” and 27” circumference.
Sample shown (small) used 144 yards Mission Falls 1824.
Supplies
-
150 to 200 yards worsted or aran weight yarn
Circular US8 (5mm) needles, 24”, US H (8) crochet hook, stitch markers if desired, tapestry needle for finishing.
Skill Level
- intermediate; knit, purl, yo, decreases, joining to work in the round, crochet cast on (instruction included), charts, and standard bind-off.
Pattern has written line by line instructions in addition to charts.
