Picture yourself sitting around the campfire on a cool summer or autumn night. While the fire is keeping you warm, there’s a slight breeze that makes you grab this throw blanket to wrap around your shoulders so you can enjoy the beautiful night, and perhaps your roasted marshmallows, just a little longer. This pattern is designed to be a throw blanket, but you can easily increase or decrease the size to make a crib sized blanket or a full-sized blanket.

Gauge is not important for this design. This blanket is very versatile. You can choose any colour combinations (preferably more than 1 colour, but solids will look great, too) with DK, Sport, Chunky or Worsted/Aran weight yarns. When using a different weight yarn, adjust the hook size and amount of yarn needed to achieve the desired size. Notes are made indicating how to adjust the width of your blanket.

Materials needed:
Approx 2200 yards of worsted weight yarn for the throw size
Size H hook (5.0 mm)
Yarn needle
