This design is everything I love in décor and design! Just like the tagline on my website… it’s simple, rustic, with a touch of elegance. The broken garter gives it the simple and rustic look compared to the elegance of the lace. Yet they blend beautifully together. This shawl is a fun and simple knit even with the bits of lace. The garter breaks give you a chance to have some mindless knitting yet you can’t wait to get it finished to get to the next section of lace! How will YOU blend your colors to make this design shine?

Designer Notes:

1. This is an asymmetrical shawl knit starting at one corner and increasing by 1 st every WS row.
2. Two colorways were used to knit this pattern and are identified as Color A (I Make Pour Decisions) and Color B (Enjoy the Silence).
3. The first stitch of every row should be slipped purl-wise with the yarn in front.
4. Instructions have been written out as well as charted for the knitter’s preference.
