For the samples, I used the local yarn brand Zeeman Royal – 100% acrylic yarn 100gr/241m in 5 different colors- white, grey, green, mustard, and terracotta in small amounts

4 mm crochet hook. You can use your scrap yarns as well.

Selecting the ideal color combination for your granny square is crucial. It’s important to choose contrasting colors for your crochet project.

To put it simply, don’t start your crochet work with two similar shades of green side by side. Instead, pair a white yarn with mustard or grey, as I did. This contrast will make the colors stand out.

In other words, pairing contrasting colors will make your rustic granny square even more unique.
