Rustic Hug is a shoulder warmer that is a quick knit with a bulky weight yarn and size 11 (8mm) knitting needles. Knit from side-to-side in garter stitch with short row shaping (no wraps needed). Add a buttonhole, close it with a pin, sew the fronts together to form a cowl or add a zipper. You’ll need 200 yards of bulky weight yarn (or doubled worsted weight) and a size 11 circular knitting needle. Finished size was 19” at neckline x 11” deep and 62” along the bottom edge. It’s easy to make it longer. You can make it with a lighter weight yarn and smaller needles by casting on more stitches and having extra yarn.
