RUSTIC
A COUNTRY-STYLE JACKET OR DRESS WITH MATCHING HAT AND TROUSERS FOR YOUR WOODLAND FAMILY
Instructions for these outfits are given in three sizes, to fit regular-sized figurines 3 inches, 2.5 inches and 2.5 inches tall.
The hats have holes for ears and incorporate three sizes including instructions given in an extra small size to fit babies. The vertical gaps for ears could be omitted if required. The jackets which are slightly flared will fit animals with tails. Additionally, if turned back to front, the jacket becomes a dress for children! Of course, the men and boys need trousers to complete their outfits, not forgetting the baby who has a pair of tiny trousers too. Father’s trousers have a real pocket, which will delight the young collector! If you are knitting this pattern to be handled by children, I suggest you use small regular shirt buttons, while those garments intending to fit collector’s dolls should be finished by miniature sized buttons.
You will need 1.5mm and 2mm needles for this collection. Lace weight yarn makes most of the clothes, with 4ply sock yarn for the biggest trousers, 2 strands of embroidery thread for the smallest.
