The Rustic Pocket Shawl is a great beginner friendly pattern as it incorporated the pockets into the shawl when you attach the border. This project is individualized to each person using their arm span. I given measurements of how I created this shawl for someone who is 5’10”. You will need the following:

DK weight yarn, approximately 1000 yards
5.5 mm Crochet hook
6 mm Crochet hook
Tapestry needle
