Rustic Rattle
This rustic rattle is the perfect new baby gift. When stuffed with polyester fiberfill, it is very light for small hands. Chose colors that match baby room décor, or chose Contrasting colors to help develop young eyes. The ridge along the top adds extra texture.
This piece is worked in in two pieces (head and handle) and it is crocheted in a continuous spiral. Do not join rounds. A stitch marker, such as a piece of contrasting yarn placed at either the beginning or the end of the round can help keep track of round in the spiral.. The round stitch count (number of stitches in the round) is given in brackets at the end of most rounds.. Stuff as you go (polyester filling, cotton, yarn scraps, etc.). Finish the piece by sewing together the parts.
There is very little sewing in this pattern.
