The Rustic Summer Cowl was designed with spring and fall in mind. Made in DK yarn with a semi-open stitch pattern, this cowl will keep your neck warm, but still have plenty of breathability - perfect for seasonal changing weather! Plus, it is designed to be long enough to wear over the bottom portion of your face when you need the extra warmth, but also have a soft enough drape to also easily wear it pulled beneath your chin when you start to warm up.

This pattern is written in ENGLISH using US terminology and has been tested by others. It includes detailed instructions for the featured stitches with photos to help with stitch placement. Links to blog posts for additional help, if needed, are also included.

SKILL LEVEL: Advanced Beginner
Skills used: working in the round, herringbone half double crochet, decrease stitch, single crochet, foundation stitch (optional)

MATERIALS:

• Crochet hook: H/5.0mm hook
• Yarn: 150 - 220 yards of #3/DK weight yarn

INCLUDED SIZES:

• Child (16” circumference, 7.75” tall)
• Small Adult (18.5” circumference, 9.5” tall)
• Large Adult (20” circumference, 11.25” tall)

Instructions are also given to make modifications to both the circumference and overall length of the cowl if you would like a different fit.
