Rusticana
A simple, relaxed sheath dress with a flattering V neckline, Rusticana is the sort of garment you will want to live in all season long.
Knit it in Apple Oak Fibre Works rustic spun Lincot, for a lightweight and durable dress that will keep you cool in summer. Or choose a woolly DK to aran weight yarn for a cozy winter knit. The basic design works especially well for showcasing unevenly spun yarns, yarns with textural interest, and yarns with dramatic colour variegation. Suitable for advanced beginners.

A note on yarn substitutions: The Apple Oak Fibre Works Lincot yarn is unusual, in that the meterage is DK but it meets gauge like an aran-weight, due to its unevenly spun nature. If substituting with a more traditional yarn, choose an aran-weight and purchase 1 extra skein. Or choose a DK weight and note that it will be worked above gauge, resulting in quite a drapey fabric.
Gauge
17 sts x 23 rows = 10cm x 10cm (4” x 4”), in stockinette
Needles
Needle A: circular needle, 4mm (US 6) in diameter (or as needed to meet gauge)
Needle B: circular needle, 3mm (US2) in diameter (or 1mm smaller than Needle A)
