Ruta is a short and neat cardigan with a vintage structure pattern and a modern construction. The cardigan is knitted from the bottom up with the body in an allover structure pattern and the sleeves in stockinette stitch.

You knit the body in one piece back and forth until you reach the underarm, where you divide the work in back and fronts. After the shoulders have been joined, you pick up stitches around the armholes and shape the sleeve caps with short rows.
