The Sabina Blouse is made with the intention of wearing it all year around, as a layering piece over dresses and button-ups, or as a cover-up on chilly summer nights. I wanted something simple and easy to wear but with a little bit of fun with the diamond pattern on the sleeves and body. It’s a versatile knit. A true all-season knit.

It’s a simple construction of a top-down drop shoulder. It’s knit on 2.25mm needles to make a lightweight and easy-to-wear garment. It is finished with I-cord edging. This pattern is completely made to measure.

I knit my sample in LeRoo Crochet cotton organic fingering in the color envious. I think this design would work for any fiber and I encourage modifications for the knitter. I would love to see this in a wide variety of fibers and colors.

Gauge: 30 sts X 52 rows in 4 in/10cm (7.5sts X 13 rows in 1 in)

Yarn: LeRoo Cotton Organic Cotton fingering 440 yds per 100g
Any standard fingering weight yarn will work great for this. If you’d like negative ease or a warmer sweater I would recommend wool or acrylic.

Sizing:
This pattern is made to measure. The recommended ease is 2-6in/5-15cm of positive ease. You can knit this with more ease or no ease. For this design measure your shoulder width, neck width, bust width, and upper arm circumference. Those numbers are added to the spreadsheet to get stitch counts, row counts, and yardage estimation. I recommend if you have a previous sweater that you love the fit of, take the measurements of that and pick your sizing. For my sample, I based it on a few hoodies and thrifted sweatshirts I have. When measuring for the neck opening, keep in mind that you’ll be adding i-cord edging. There is a spreadsheet with the formulas already in place. All you need to do is add your measurements (both centimeters and inches are listed. Choose your preference).
