Sabino Canyon is an oversized worsted weight cardigan. The long length, wide collar and wrap-front design make this the cosiest thing you’ll add to your wardrobe this year. Really, it’s just a blanket in disguise. Knit from the top down in one piece, mainly in stockinette stitch with ribbed details. It features drop shoulders, minimal body shaping and casually fitting sleeves with rolled cuffs. For the closure at the front, pick your favourite lonely button as an accent. This simple seeming garment has lots of little details that make it truly special, and something you will reach for again and again.
Needles & Notions
US5 / 3.75 mm and US7 / 4.5 mm circular and/or double pointed knitting needles (or size to obtain gauge), tapestry needle, stitch markers, scrap yarn or stitch holders, 2 buttons (do not have to be the same; optional), and a crochet hook, cotton thread or elastic (for button loops; optional)
Gauge
18 sts and 26 rows = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette stitch on larger needles, blocked. Make sure to swatch flat as well as in the round, and use different sized needles as necessary.

Please note the Bust Circumference is measured with the sweater closed, and does not include the overlapping front panels. Model is wearing size L with no ease. If you are between sizes, choose the larger of the two.
Bust measurement is measured with the cardigan closed. Button placement is done at the end and can be changed to suit your needs if you decide you want a tighter or looser fit once your cardigan is complete.
