Sabrina
This was a fun pattern to design because of all the unusual stitch patterns (and because I liked Sabrina). It was modeled after the sweater Sabrina wore on her trip to Mars in the tv series Sabrina. This was my project for the Nerd Wars 10 (on Ravelry) -- and I wanted to get it published here before Nerd Wars 11 starts next month.
This pullover is knit from the top down starting with a ribbed neckline and has modified raglan shaping so that the sleeves almost look like set-in sleeves instead of raglan. Short rows help form the neckline after the ribbing. There is no seaming. It is shaped slightly at the waist.
It may look as if stranded knitting was used. However, only one color was used in any given rnd. Designs are achieved by slipping sts (and the occasional purls).
I used chocolate, kelly green, and taupe for the sweater. The total skeins needed are as follows:
MC Chocolate: 3 (3, 4, 4, 5, 6) skeins
CC1 Kelly Green: 1 (1, 1, 2, 2, 2) skeins
CC2 Taupe: 0.5 skeins
(I goofed in knitting Design 6 on the sleeves, using the start and end of Design 5 instead of that for Design 6.)
