Notions required:

• bag handles
• fabric to line the bag (highly recommended)
• needle and thread for lining

Gauge is not important in this project. My bag has a diameter of about 12”, but you can make whatever size bag you like.

I used this pattern when crocheting with rags, but a super-bulky yarn could work as well. If you plan on using a worsted yarn, you’ll have to add more of what I call “expansion rows,” so the bag is the right size for you.

The gusset is optional--if you want a wider bag, make one, if you want a narrow bag, seam the front and back of the bag in the method of your choice. You can either single-crochet the pieces together or sew them together, whichever you prefer.
