Sade's onesie
This onesie is worked seamlessly top down. The body is worked flat until underarms and then joined for knitting in the round. Lastly button band and neckline are worked.
Gauge, notions, needles
Gauge: 23 sts & 36 rows per 4″ (10 cm) in stockinette after blocking
Recommended needles: US4 30″ (3.5mm 80cm) circular needle and for the ribbing US2.5 30″ (3mm 80cm) circular needle. Adjust needle size to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: Scrap yarn, 8 stitch markers, tapestry needle, 5 buttons with a diameter of approximately 0.6” (1.5 cm)
Size
When selecting the size please note that babies grow at very different rates. Choose the size according to your baby’s bust measurement. Select size that is a little bit wider than the baby’s bust. You can easily adjust the length of sleeves and body.
Sizes (age): 3, 6, 12 (18, 24) months
Sizes (baby’s length approximately): 56, 68, 74 (80, 86) cm
Yarn
Sample uses fingering weight superwash merino wool Sandnes garn Babyull Lanett (50g = 191yds / 175m) in colorway 6062 (dark blue).
Yarn requirements:
2, 2, 2 (3, 3) skeins of Sandnes garn Babyull Lanett or approximately 284, 325, 336 (425, 466) yds [260, 297, 335 (390, 427) m] of fingering weight yarn.
