A simple filet crochet pattern for a baby blanket with a giraffe, lion and elephant.

This pattern is for a baby blanket which uses filet stitch to create the outline of a giraffe, lion and elephant. It is made as one large panel plus a border. It is a simple pattern which uses UK treble crochet / US double crochet. This makes it great for a beginner. It is a written pattern and there is a chart too.

Using DK, it makes a blanket sized 82cm x 94cm: it could be made using aran wool and would come out larger.

This blanket uses between 300-350g of DK for the main colour and 1000g of DK for the border. It was made using a 4.5mm crochet hook.

The pattern has been tested. It is written in both UK and US terms - there are too different documents which you can download after purchase and choose the one you want. There is also a chart to download too.
