Safer at Home Mandala
Due to the Covid19 virus, many of us are under Stay at Home orders. We all should be! We need to do what we can to prevent the spread of the virus. Stay home, Save lives!!!
Many of us are therefore looking for things to do to keep busy. And I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s been making scrap projects! Since getting more yarn is not an easy task at the moment, we have to use what we have on hand. Unfortunately, I don’t know how much yarn this pattern took. It is mostly worked as overlay crochet, with many rows being partially hidden. I made it with size 10 cotton thread, but it could be worked in any type of yarn with a suitable hook. I just have no idea how big it will turn out if made with other yarns!
The pattern is 7 pages long, with pictures for each row. I admittedly only worked it up once, so there may be errors in the pattern. I don’t plan on making it again, so if you get stuck, I won’t be much help. Hopefully the pictures will be.
I hope you have some fun with this pattern. I can’t wait to see the finished projects and people’s color choices!
Edit 1 (April 23,20): I’ll try to update here when I become aware of problems in the pattern. So far, there’s two:
-The color list is off. I must’ve thrown in an extra ‘enter’ and messed it up. Just bump all the colors up one letter. There should be 9 colors total.
-In row 4, the first sc should be in the . So the repeat is sc, hdc, 2dc, 2dc, hdc, sc 5 x around, omitting the last sc in the final repeat.
