safety pin neckwarmer
this is the pattern and the image chart for a neckwarmer, very simple rectangular of double bed jacquard, made on my electronic knitting machine with the img2track cable.
the final measurement of the garment is : 22” circumference x 10” tall
the safety pin is the symbol of what we’re going through in these days, and I though it would be a nice present for a friend.
the image of the safety pin could easily be done with duplicate stitch on any given stockinette knit fabric, I included a picture with a grid so could be easily done.
with my choices of yarn, this is how I made it.
yarn #1 - grey 2 strands 2/28 cashmere cariaggi
yarn #2 - black 1 strand 2/14 merino wool
cast on L79 + 80 R
knit 3 rows of tubular at tension 1.**
knit 1 row of full bed ribbing - tension 4 on both carriages - carriage is on the left
set carriages for dbj
set the machine with the img2track cable, set to :
vertical stretch: 1
maximum width: 87
colors: 2
knit to the end of the pattern, then
knit 1 row of full bed ribbing
knit 3 rows tubular - tension 1.**
take work off with waste yarn
I used the smiles & frowns bind off by Diana Sullivan on Youtube to bind off the live stitches.
Mattress stitch the sides, and voila’.
after mailing the neck-warmer, I realized that I left out a small part of the safetypin closure in the top left part.
It’s been fixed on the image, although the present got out as is :/
stay safe <3
