Welcome to the world of cozy warmth with the Saga Stitch Cardigan – my new pattern made in the beautiful Peer Gynt yarn by Sandnes Garn.

At the heart of the Saga Stitch Cardigan lies a mesmerizing cable pattern adorning the yoke and creating a tapestry of texture and charm against a backdrop of smooth, plush reverse stockinette on the body and sleeves.

Crafted with care and attention to detail, this cardigan is knit seamlessly from the top down, allowing for effortless customization of both body and sleeves length. Whether you prefer a cropped silhouette or a longer, more enveloping fit, the Saga Stitch Cardigan can be tailored to suit your individual style and comfort.

The range of ease across all the sizes is 24.5-26.5 cm/9.75-10.5”. The picture shows size 3 with 26.5 cm/10.5”of positive ease.

PATTERN NOTES:
• The cardigan is worked flat, in one piece from the top down.
• You start with chart 1 followed by chart 2, then you separate for body and sleeves, work short rows to add height to the upper back thus shaping the neckline,
• After that, you work the body flat and sleeves in the round, knitting on WS (to avoid purling).
• The buttonband is worked together with the body, so you only will have to attach buttons and weave in ends after knitting, no additional work is needed.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
• basics (cast on/bind off, knit/purl, increase/decrease)
• short rows
• working in the round
• working from a chart (written instructions to charts are also provided)
