I knit my own wipe down kitchen cloths. My favourite is one I improvised. I recreated it for this pattern and I hope you like it as much as I do.
This cloth fits well in the hand and has good body due to the doubled yarn. You could use thicker yarn instead, but the shape of the stitches is flatter and wider with doubled yarn, which I think works better in this case. You can get two or three cloths out of two 50 grams balls of yarn.
