Saginaw socks are rich with texture, created by a unique combination of knit, purl, and slipped stitches. This pattern is recommended for experienced beginners and above.
Materials:
Yarn: Approximately 150 yards of fingering weight yarn in two colors (300 yards total). Yardage will vary depending on the desired finished size socks.
Needles: US 1 / 2.25 mm circular needle or double-pointed needles,
or size needed for the desired gauge.
Gauge: 16 stitches and 22 rows in 2 inches
Measured in stockinette stitch in the round
Other Materials: Scissors, Stitch markers (2), Yarn needle
Sizes:
1: 60 sts, 2: 64 sts, 3: 68 sts, 4: 72 sts.
Any multiple of 4 sts will work with this pattern.
