Sagittate
Sagittate is a cowl featuring a bold geometric lace pattern that resembles arrow heads, and the pointed shape of Sagittate leaves. It’s knit in the round in gorgeous hand-dyed merino sport-weight yarn, which shows off the three textures featured: garter stitch, rib, and lace.
The cowl pattern is written for one size, and it’s easily adapted according to your preferences. It would also be suitable for a DK or fingering-weight yarn, instead of the sport-weight. Fingering-weight yarn would produce a drapier, elegant cowl; whereas DK would be more robust.
My preference is for a shortish, snug cowl that seals the gap between collar and neck. You might prefer to knit it longer and show off the lace; or with lots more ribbing, to tuck your chin into. Experiment with shape and size - and choose your best and boldest colour in your favourite skein of yarn, to add a bright pop to your day!
