Sahara
Australia needs help. So sad what is going on there.
There are a lot of fundraisers all over the world and I would support them all if I could, but I have decided on WIRES.
Australia’s largest wildlife rescue organisation.
With a lot of volunteers who are helping to save and care for the innocent victims of the fires and drought.
You can read more about it here: https://www.wires.org.au/wildlife-information
My small way to help is to donate, at the end of February 2020, 100% of sales of my Sahara pattern.
Sahara is the name of one of the numberless koalas who didn’t make it.
I’ll make a note again to let you know how much we have raised.
Sahara is a 20 inch square if made with Stylecraft Special DK and hook size 4mm/G.
It is a written pattern with photo tutorial.
Links are added in the pdf to videos for the special stitches, made by Helen Shrimpton of http://crystalsandcrochet.com/ .
There is a pdf available with the colours and amounts per round for the 3 colorways I made.
For the photo tutorial: Pistachio and White.
For the bleu one: Sherbet, Empire and Turqoise.
And the happy colours: Bright Pink, Bright Green, Emperor, Sunshine, Wisteria, Jaffa and Empire.
But you will see that you can use any color you want by looking at the squares that my amazing testers have made.
Now also available in Dutch, Danish, Spanish and Urdu.
Thank you for choosing my pattern and for your support during this terrible time.
L♥ve Ineke.
The sale of the Sahara pattern has raised a great amount for Wires and was donated today.
As you can see on the photo, it has been sold 242 times.
The amount is 847 Euro and converted into 1426 Australian Dollars with which many animals can be helped.
Big thanks to everyone who bought the pattern and thereby sponsored a very good cause.
