Top-down, seamless dress/coat/sweater designed for a little dog (Yorkie, Papillon, Shih Tzu) with approximately 14” chest and a slim belly. Ribbing sides and underbelly help snug this up for a tiny body, but allow ease if your furbaby is a little bit rounder in the tummy. Rolled skirt ruffles make it a little fancier for dress-up.

Use a patterned yarn for the Main Body, a contrasting colour (I used black) for the leg ribbing & the rolled skirt ruffles, and add a strand of eyelash or other fancy yarn to the contrast yarn for the skirt edging.

This sweater was designed for a little dog of about 9-12 lbs, with these measurements:
Neck - 9.5” (24cm)
Chest - 14” (35.5cm)
Length - 13” (33cm)

To make it larger or smaller, add sts between the legs and across the back, as well as rows to desired length.

Materials:

• Aran weight (patterned) yarn, about 80 – 90 yards -- (sample used Stylecraft Safari, in Leopard)
• Aran weight (contrast colour) yarn, about 40 – 50 yards -- (sample used Adrienne Vittadini Donata, in Black)
• eyelash or other fancy yarn (contrast colour) yarn, about 20 – 30 yards -- (sample used Patons Allure, in Ebony)
• circular needles, size US 10 (6.00mm)
• 1 marker for end of round

Stitches/Techniques Used:
knit (K), purl (P), make 1 (M1), knit 2 sts together (K2tog), slip-slip-knit (ssk), pick up & knit (pu&K), yarn over (YO), slip purlwise (slP), slip knitwise (slK), cast on (CO) & bind off (BO) mid-row.

The pattern switches from working in the Round to working back & forth across Rows, and back again.
