Sail Away Ombre Wrap is very easy to knit as it uses garter stitch throughout. The “sail” shaping is worked using simple decreases and yarn overs.

The sail shape showcases the lovely gradient color in Caron’s Colorama Halo yarn and the finished wrap is butter soft and squishy. Generally, I’m not a fan of acrylic yarns, but I’m making an exception for this one.

In the photographs shown, I have made my decrease one stitch in from the edge, as I like the look of the edging it gives. That being said, this can cause curling if it is not knitted a little more loosely than the rest of the wrap. So….. I have offered instructions for knitting this way and also for knitting it with the decrease at the edge. So you can choose which way you want to knit it.
