Sail Away Socks are knit from the toe up with a “sail’ pattern formed using knits and purls, yarn overs and simple decreases. The socks can be knit in one colour or many. Knitting each “Sail” stripe in a different colour would make them the perfect socks for using up leftovers.

The pattern is worked with a Wrap and Turn short row heel. You may substitute your choice of heel, ie short row, FLK, or afterthought. They are knit using the magic loop method but can be adapted to suit your preferred method of sock knitting.

The pattern has written instruction and a chart for the “Sail” pattern.
