Notes on Construction & Sizing
The garment is knit in two identical pieces, wrist to wrist
This pattern has been written with the intent to fit everyone the exact way you want it to fit.
When I first started wearing the sweater out and about a lot of women gave it a try, it was my great pleasure to find out that it fit all who tried it and looked fantastic on them.
Please see schematics in photos for measurements of finished project if knit to exact pattern Original or Tall.
Knit the Original for an overall neckline to bottom hem of 20”, and 60” total circumference
Knit the Tall for an overall neckline to bottom hem of 25”, and 74” total circumference
If you would like to add or remove additional ease you just need to add or remove repeats in Section 3 - Body. Each body repeat represents 2.5” of width (blocked) to the mid-section of the sweater. Knowing these measurements you can add or remove as you like to fit you best.
Approximate yardage requirements for additions to the Body are as follows:
Original size / per Body panel repeat / per side - 15 grams / 28 yards
Tall size / per Body panel repeat / per side - 19 grams / 36 yards
*** sweater shown in photos is Original size on a bust measurement of 36” and a 5’3” frame
I enjoy wearing mine as is or tucked in with a french tuck at the front
Some of my testers preferred more ease and some wanted a more fitted sweater - it is up to you!
