Sailor anchor sweater
The sweater is knitted seamlessly, flat (back and forth), and later joined in the round. Part of the front is open for easy dressing. The sleeves are worked in the round. On the left of the front there is an anchor embroidered with a duplicate knit stitch.
Available in sizes to fit chest:
0-3 m / 16”
3-6 m / 17”
6-9 m / 17.5”
9-12 / 18.2”
12-18 m / 19”
18-24 m / 20”
MATERIALS: oatmeal DK yarn 100 g / 300 m. You will need 1
- 2 skeins yarn according to the sweater size.
Less than 20 g of contrasting DK yarn for the
anchor and colored edges.
KNITTING GAUGE:
22 sts and 30 rows to 10 x 10 cm = 4” x 4” in stocking stitch (knit row on right side, purl row on wrong side) and 4 mm needles.
NEEDLES:
1 x 4 mm (US6)(UK8) long circular needles
1 x 3.5 mm (US4) needles
NOTIONS:
Tapestry needle
Stitch markers
Crochet hook (optional)
3 flat buttons (12 mm)
x 2 Stitch holders/ scrap yarn
Sewing thread and needle
