Inspired by the sailing knots my father taught me as a child, Sailor Daane is a uniquely constructed knit-in-the-round seamless design. This sweater is knit first by completing the cable band that runs horizontally around the body, turning that sideways, and picking up stitches on each side of the center cable band working top-down for the body and bottom-up for the upper body. The sleeves are knit in the round and joined with the upper body stitches with raglan decreases, and the project is finished with a rolled neck

The Pattern includes sizing for children 2-12.

The criss cross cable pattern is written both in chart and text format.

A unisex pattern but especially boy friendly.

Other materials: cable needle, waste yarn, stitch markers in different colors, tape measure, and tapestry needle for seaming underams.
