The pattern is written for knitting flat on two needles and the toy should be seamed afterwards. Worked flat on 2 straight knitting needles and seamed. With this pattern you can knit your own sailor with his clothes. The hat can be taken off.

Toy is approximately 27 cm from head to toe (10,6”). It is made of soft acrylic yarn, good humor and love. You can use any other yarn you find suitable - Doll can come taller or smaller but still a lot of fun to knit and to become friends with. I recommend using needles a size or two smaller than the yarn calls for, to produce a firm fabric.

NEEDLES: All knitting is done on two straight 2.00 mm needles and seamed. (US size 0). U.K.-14
• Yarn: 100% Acrylic (Wool) Fingering-4 ply-14 wpi: I used baby wool 175 meters / 50 grams (192 yards /1.76 ounces):
Beige color-30 gr.
White color - 30 gr.
Black color -30 gr.
Blue color-20 gr.
A small amount of yellow Acrylic yarn
• For hair: Brazilia yarn from Schachenmayr ( 100% Polyester, 50g (1.75oz),
- Brown color 98 yards (90 meters) /50 grams (1.75 ounces) – 10 gr.
• Felt- thickness 1 mm (White color)
• stitch marker
• tapestry needle, long sewing needle
• Fiberfill stuffing
• safety eye -12 mm
• Universal transparent glue.
• Oil pastels-pink color. (Eye shadow)
• Scissors
Tension Square:
30 sts x 37 rows 10cm x 10cm stocking stitch 2 mm needles

Gauge is not super important here you will just get a bigger or smaller doll, this doll is 10 inches tall. Just make sure it’s rather tight so you won’t see the stuffing though your knitting.
