Sakkara

Simple unisex hat with a step pattern up the side and into the crown. I wrote this pattern to show off a nice yarn with subtle color variations that looks good in stockinette—a simple hat without being too plain. (Sometimes a great yarn doesn’t need any more than that!) I was thinking of a step pyramid pattern up the side, disappearing into the decreases at the top, and have named it Sakkara (Saqqara) after the location of the first Egyptian pyramid—a step pyramid built for the Pharaoh Djoser circa 2700 BC.
