Sakura means “cherry blossom” in Japanese, it is a name that has an important symbolic component for Japanese culture, it represents the cycle of life, prosperity and ephemeral beauty.
We were inspired by the buds of these flowers to create the lace stitch distributed on the yoke, body and sleeves of the Tee.
Sample in the photos is knit with 2 yarns held together throughout: a thread of hemp and a thread of linen, both hand-dyed.
The mélange effect of the two yarns used together is very pleasant.
They are both vegetable fibers with excellent properties, they are breathable, resistant and anti-odor; the Tee is fresh and gentle on the skin.
Sakura is perfect for the summer, it is fresh and versatile, embellished with a delicate lace stitch, it is also suitable for wearing over an elegant dress.
It is a top-down, circular yoke sweater.
Gradual increases are made in the yoke up to the sleeves that will be put on hold onto holder or scrap yarn and then resumed later.
This way there will be no seams.
Sakura comes in 10 sizes (from 87 to 174 cm 34.2 to 68.5 “
bust circumference).

Sakura significa “fiori di ciliegio” in giapponese, è un nome che ha un’importate componente simbolica per la cultura giapponese, rappresenta il ciclo della vita, la prosperità e la bellezza effimera.
Ci siamo ispirate proprio ai boccioli di questi fiori per realizzare i motivi traforarti distribuiti nello sprone, nel corpo e nelle maniche della maglietta.
Sakura è lavorata con due capi di filato insieme, abbiamo usato un filo di canapa e un filo di lino, entrambi tinti a mano.
L’effetto melange dei due filati usati insieme è molto gradevole.
Sono entrambi fibre vegetali con ottime proprietà, sono traspiranti, resistenti e antiodore, la maglietta risulta fresca e piacevole a contatto con la pelle.
Sakura è perfetta per la bella stagione, è fresca e versatile, impreziosita da un delicato punto a traforo si adatta bene anche per essere indossata sopra ad un abito elegante.
Si lavora in tondo dall’alto verso il basso, si eseguono degli aumenti graduali nello sprone fino ad arrivare alle maniche che verranno messe in sospeso su un filo per poi essere riprese successivamente.
In questo modo non ci sono cuciture.
