Sakura is a beautiful, asymmetrical shawl, knit bottom up in a stunning lace pattern.

This pattern includes row by row written instructions as well as charts.

Size: one size; measurements after blocking: approx. 110 cm/ 43” long across bind off edge,  165 cm/ 65” long measured from cast on edge to the top and 192 cm/ 75.5” across top edge; 

Gauge:  18 sts and 27 rows = 10 cm/ 4” in Stockinette Stitch on 4.5 mm/ US7 needles, measured flat after blocking; 

Gauge is not important for this project but it will affect the size of your shawl and the yardage. Make sure you have enough yarn to complete your project.

Yarn: El Robledal de la Santa Silky Me 75% merino wool, 25% silk; 400 meters (437 yards)/ 100g (3.53 oz): 2 skeins; Rowan Kidsilk Haze 70% mohair, 30% silk; 209 meters (229 yards)/ 25g (0.88 oz): 4 skeins;

Or: 800 m/ 875 yards of fingering weight yarn and approx. 836 m/ 914  yards of lace weight yarn; both yarns kept together;

Needles: 4.5 mm/ US7 circular needles at least 80 cm/ 32” long or needle size to obtain the gauge; 

Other: cable needle, tapestry needle to weave in ends;
