OVERVIEW
Sakura Hat is knitted bottom-up and in the round. The length of the brim is adjustable. The Half Twisted Ribbing for the brim creates the neater finish, and the simple repetition of elegant, Sakura petal inspired cable pattern represents the minimalistic beauty of Japan.

INSPIRATION
Sakura Hat was inspired by Japanese cherry blossom, Sakura. Coexisting with nature, Japanese people have always adored four seasons. Sakura represents not only the excitement of a new life and new beginnings of spring, but also the impermanence for its short life. The last line of the opening of Japanese classical literature, “The Tale of the Heike” goes, “The mighty can only exist for so long, as no more than dust before the wind”.

祇園精舎の鐘の声　　　　　　　 諸行無常の響きあり

Yarn A: 50g (1 skein) of Knitting for Olive Merino (50g/250m)
