sakura snow
A Spring breeze is blowing
I’m bursting with laughter
wishing for flowers
- Matsuo Bashō, translator unknown
This is a simple lace pattern that is worked in conjunction with knitting a nup each time there is a contrast section in the yarn. It is a quiet, contemplative pattern that encourages you to reflect on the yarn as you work with it.
There are two sizes, small and large. The small size takes 1 skein of chroma nima’s lace weight contemplation yarn(50g / 650m), the large size takes 2 skeins (100g, 1300m).
Gauge is 31 stitches and 45 rows to 10cm x 10cm in stocking stitch. I used 3.25mm needles to get this gauge.
Size:
Small: blocked dimensions: width 22.5 cm / 9 inches, length 160 cm / 63 inches.
Large: blocked dimensions: width 45 cm / 18 inches, length 160 cm / 63 inches.
