Salem
Salem Socks are worked in the round from the toe up using a seamless cast on, optional gusset shaping, and a short row heel. Due to the intarsia cabling up the back not lending itself to a lot of stretch, strategic increases are added to give these socks a comfortable fit along with a refined style.
This pattern can be a little fiddly, but oh-so worth it! A link to a row by row video tutorial is available within the pattern to walk you through the repeat cable pattern step by step if you are just learning the intarsia technique.
If intarsia is too fiddly to suit your fancy, check out Salem’s sister sock, Finding Savannah!
