“Salix Fyreburst” is a colorful and relatively quick knit beanie without the bulk and hassle of carrying multiple strands. A pretty star at the crown and slipped stitches trailing below reminded me of my favorite fireworks and tree- a Weeping Willow. My little town puts on a spectacular fireworks show every 4th of July- and I love watching the explosion of golden branches; twinkling sparkles slowly cascading back to Earth in the dark night. A solid with ombre or multicolored yarn partner well and reveals even more color and texture when worn. A variation of rib, this hat is very stretchy from the brim through the body and fits older children, teens and most adults. This pattern also includes directions for a smaller size.
