Sally the snail caddy might not be the fastest, but she gets there in the end – with all the kit you need for crafting. She is 8 inches tall (when made with the recommended materials).

The 9 page pattern is intermediate skill level and is available in US and UK terminology – both versions will be available for you to download. It is clear to follow with detailed instructions and lots of pictures for step by step making and assembly. There are also picture instructions for colour change, back loop only and front post stitch.

The following stitches/techniques are used in this pattern:
US Terminology - slip stitch, magic ring, single crochet, increase, decrease (sc2tog), colour change, back loop only, front post single crochet
UK Terminology - slip stitch, magic ring, double crochet, increase, decrease (dc2tog), colour change, back loop only, front post double crochet

Recommended Materials:

  • Hook: 3mm and 4mm crochet hooks
  • Stuffing: I use polyester filling
  • Safety eyes: I have used 12mm plastic safety eyes, but you can embroider the eyes on if you prefer
