Sally's Slippers
This is a reworking of Midnattsol’s popular “Felted Slippers” pattern as entrelac, with size charts and the squares identified for those who want to do color work.
Suggested yarns are wool and other feltable yarns, roving works too. Use DK or thicker, and you can also strand DK or thinner yarns to make thicker slippers. This is a great project for bulky yarns, as well as to use up odds and ends of yarn leftover from other projects.
A pair of children’s slippers may use less than 100 yards; the largest men’s size will probably use slightly more than 100 yards each.
I added in as a photo (see to the left) a diagram that makes it easier to do colorwork, for those experienced knitters who won’t get confused. I put arrows where the next square starts to try to help. Click on it to see it larger.
